Seligman Car Show
Road Kill Cafe Lot, Seligman, AZ
September 19th, 2009

.
One of the newer events in Northern Arizona, the Seligman Car Show (and Chili Cookoff) is in its second year. A bunch of people at the Route 66 Car Club of Flagstaff decided to come out and support them after last year's inagural show suffered from weather issues.

I missed the deadline and so I wasn't pre-registered when I arrived in the middle of the crowd that showed up. The organizers were a bit harried as more entrants showed up than they had anticipated. If I got the math right, this year had 1,000 percent more entrants than last year.

After a little delay it all worked out and we had fun doing the poker walk through downtown and hanging out at the show.

They had really organized a big raffle at the end and it seemed everyone won something.

I will definitely be back again next year (only this time I will pre-register.....)

Relaxin' in the shade during the show.

A lot more cars than expected and a good crowd too.

Lots of variety to check out.

We headed out on the Poker-Walk through town and found some interesting signs.

I hadn't been in many of the other establishments before.

Hmmmm.......

Picking up our poker cards in Angel & Vilma's Gift Shop.

Car club wannabees?

Angel Delgadillo (the father of the historic Route 66) works the crowd.

Outside his shop.

Angel's Truck.

And back at the car show for the raffle. Everyone won something...
